Q
Please help me with a deeply embarrassing problem. I have a newboyfriend, and he is experienced, so he likes to have sex in allkinds of different positions.
I don't mind this, as it is quite exciting. Also, my previousboyfriend was kind of 'dull' in bed, and this guy is a big changefrom that!
But last week, something strange occurred. We were making love in anew position and suddenly I started to produce a lot of gas. It wasvery noisy, so I felt quite ashamed about it.
At first, I thought it must be coming from my bottom. However, after a little while, I realised that it was really being producedby my vagina.
It seemed to me that there were huge quantities of this gas. Andwhen it came out, there was this vulgar-sounding noise.
I was so embarrassed. I did not say anything, and tried to pay itno mind. Much to my surprise, my boyfriend did not pay it anyattention either. He just went straight ahead until he discharged.
Well, I hoped that this strange phenomenon was a 'one-off'experience. But it has happened several times since then.
Is there something terribly wrong with me? Why am I producing allthis gas inside my vagina?
A What you describe is common. In fact, I have recently receivedseveral letters and emails from young women who have had the sameexperience.
What you don't realise is that you are NOT 'producing' this gas. Itis simply AIR, which has been driven inside by your partner as hethrusts into you. After he has pushed it inside, it has to come outagain - and that usually makes the noise which you describe.
I must add that the young man is not intentionally pushing this airinside you. He may be unaware that he is doing it.
You see, it is just a thing that happens in certain positions. Itis most likely to occur when the guy makes love to the girl frombehind, especially if she is bent forward. It also tends to happenif the male 'pulls out' for a moment before thrusting inside again. That gives the air a chance to get trapped.
Your new boyfriend probably paid no attention because he isexperienced in bed, and has observed the same thing happen withother girls.
Also, young men are mainly interested in the idea of discharging, and so tend to give little attention to whatever noises may begoing on around them.
I am sorry to tell you that there is no medication which canprevent this problem of 'vaginal wind'. Many women simply decide toignore it.
However, you could try to remember which positions are likely tocause it.
Q
I am a 17-year-old guy and I notice that my sex fluid looksdifferent at different times.
Is that serious? Sometimes, it is thick and almost lumpy, and othertimes it is quite thin and smooth.
AYoung men often fret about the appearance of their seminal fluid. In fact, the liquid does vary in appearance at different times, depending on such factors as how many times you have dischargedrecently.
So you don't have anything to worry about.
Q
If a woman experiences bleeding after sex, what should she do?
AIf the bleeding occurs only once, you can safely pay it no mind. You see, it is common for young women to get a little 'nick' or cutfrom a guy's fingernail, especially if he doesn't know a lot aboutfemale anatomy.
However, REPEATED bleeding is another matter. It means you shouldgo to a doc for an internal check-up.
Q
I am a 20-year-old man and my penis is only six and three-quarterinches long. My fianc閑 says I am not pleasing her. Help!
AAs I have said on this page in the past, the average penile lengthis about six inches during erection.
If you are not pleasing your fianc閑, that is certainly NOT becauseof the length of your organ.
Maybe you are not using good 'love play' techniques to make surethat she is satisfied. Or perhaps you are not showing the younglady enough romance, warmth, tenderness and love.
Why not ask her what she feels is missing from your sexualrelationship?
Q
I think I am a little too skinny. I am female, 21 years old, and amonly 110 pounds.
Are there any good 'rooster pills' on the market that I could taketo put on weight?
AI would not recommend taking pills to try and put on weight. And'roosters' are just a sort of herbal Viagra.
At 110 pounds, you are certainly a little on the light side. But alot depends on what your height is - and also on whether yourmother and father are slim people.
I would recommend that you go to a doctor to check if you have anycondition which is preventing you from putting on weight, such as ahyperactive thyroid gland.
She will probably recommend that you slightly increase your intakeof 'high-calorie' foods, such as cheese and butter, whilemaintaining a good all-round diet. I wish you well.
Q
When I attempt to put on a condom, I lose my erection.
Is that some kind of allergy to rubber?
ANo. This kind of loss or stiffness while trying to put on a condomis extremely common in young men. It has been called 'condomcollapse' in medical textbooks.
It is simply caused from anxiety - in other words, fear that onewill not be able to perform.
A good way to defeat it is to get your lady friend to put thecondom on you. The idea is that she stimulates you with her fingerswhile doing so.
Good luck.
